I'm just starting out this week too and everyone is so encouraging with wonder hints. I'm kind in the same boat no huge medical issues at this point in my life but I know I'm at that crossroad. I think we can all make it through with supporting one another..

Welcome and you deserve a pat on the back for giving Medifast a try! It's not a cheap thing by any means, and takes dedication-with that-you WILL SUCCEED! I am new, too-weighing in for my second week this coming Monday....I lost 7 lbs in the first week, goal is to lose 53 by July-at about 2 lbs a week...slow and steady wins the race!.
I believe you will be a believer in Medifast on your first weigh-in-as long as you stay OP!!. Good Luck and we will do this together!! I'm happy you have decided to do this for yourself!.. |

Welcome.... I think everyone is anxious in the beginning... it feels as though you are giving up sooo much for this diet. Here's the thing... yes, you are giving up alot of the foods... BUT...
Is key! And this diet will work for you. Stick to your guns... adopt a no excuses mantra and go with it! It's absolutely the way to go. I think once you get into week #2 and then beyond... you are going to amaze yourself in ways that you cannot imagine.. GOOD LUCK!.. |

Hi Nicole- I'm new to this plan as well, I'm going on day 12. I feel much better than at the beginning!!!! I started at 305lbs and lost 12lbs the first week. I weigh in on Sundays so I am not sure what this week will bring. I plan to start working out on Monday by doing a Zumba class, I can't wait. You can do this, I have lost a lot of weight in the past on Optifast (liquid diet) and L.A Weightloss. I never kept it off because I never learned how to eat properly after he weightloss.

Hey there....I would love to do this with you. I am on day 4...well I'm having my last Medifast for the day (my first time having a brownie...and Yum!) I weighed myself today because well, I'm the kind of person that needs to see it is working or I am not sure I can continue. I don't really have support from my family because to them...it is just another diet. I am not telling my husband because I want to surprise him when he comes home this summer. So I've been trying to reach out to MFers for support and so far...It has been more then I could have imagined. The support on here and the knowledge/advice has been so great.
Now I'm about to start Day 5 and I am super pumped! I'm not in MO...I'm in Cali...but feel free to reach out to me whenever...as long as you don't mind that I do the same... |

Hi. I am new to Medifast as well. I started at 325.2 and am looking at losing between 160 and 180 lbs. I am looking for a group myself. I have tried all different kinds of diets and haven't been as successful as I have been on just a week and a half of MF! I am really excited about losing this weight and am committed to getting to goal..

Hi Nicole. I'm on day 5 too. I had a rocky start but feel better today. I still count down until my next meal. I'm trying to stay busy in between..
I'm 48 and feel almost like this is the last diet plan for me. I want to enjoy middle age and I am tremendously shy and self conscious. I'm new to this kind of communication but bear with me. Good Luck!.. |

Welcome!!! I am new to, I just started the program today! I to have always been overweight and failed every diet. And luckily I have not had any health issues either, but I know if I continue to gain I will. I am in northern cali. I usually go on the chat room alot in the evening, I started going in there earlier this week while I was waiting for all my food to arrive. I also got a free health coach through take shape for life. She will be keeping tabs on me and tracking my weight loss and success and it's someone to call if I need help or I am stuck. We can do this!..
