Got a quick question: Best Nutrisystem diet when I have little willpower? Looking forward for any answer. Another quick question... Well I'm back..... |

That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the answer to your question. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I find an good answer. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably could answer your Nutrisystem question..

Welcome back Tuvya!.
Congrats on your baby news! That is awesome! And congrats on your decision! Thanks for filling us in because it will help more than you, it will help us as well.. Keep us posted on how things are going. This is one group who understands valleys, bumps and crashes and while each of us goes through them to some extent it is very cool to know that there are people out there (this forum) who are pulling for you and will help you along the way.. Welcome back to a bunch of losers who are cheering for you!.. |

Tuvya, welcome back. I can sympathize. I too fell off (under) the wagon over the holidays. I just lost my focus on maintenance. Ate too much, moved too little..... Gained 15 lbs..
I don't have anyone to be pissed off at but myself. But as many have said here - 'if you fall off the wagon, it will wait for you. Get back on'. I'm back on and hopefully will get the gained weight off soon. I have know for a long time that I'm a foodaholic. Once I start eating (overeating that is) I just have difficulty stopping. So, just as the alcoholic has to stay away from that first drink, I have to stay away from all of the 'trigger foods' that set my addiction into motion. Good luck to both of us. Losing is easy, maintenance is hard... |

Welcome back...keep up the great attitude...it will help you be a great dad!..
|
|
I know exactly what you mean. I am going through a very similar experience..
Welcome back Tuvya. Congrats on the bun in the oven. Kids are great... |
|
First congrats on the pending child. There is nothing better. As for all the other issues you are not alone. Our Challenges may not be the same as yours but as you have noted it is a nice place to find open ear...

Welcome back. Anytime you need to vent, we are here for you. Glad to have you back on the Nutrisystem train. Good Luck. JT..

Tuvya,.
None of us would be here if we didn't have eating disorders. We only differ in the severyity. Everyday we have to accept where we are (what is is) and go on from there. Thank heaven the wagon is there all the time to climb back on. The only way to move forward is to start from where you are - attempting to start from where you should be, ought to be, want to be, might have been, could have been, wished you were, others think you are - is rediculous and impossible. Seeing you and Damon face and conquer your demons - make mine seem pretty lame. Thanks for the motivation! I'll add you to my prayer list!.. |

Thanks for the support guys, it's much appreciated..
As of thismorning, return week 1 is now successfully completed, and I think I did just as well as when I first started this system just over a year ago... |

ED? When you say ED do you mean Erectile Dysfunction? or Eating Disorder...
|
|
I've posted about my experiences today. I'm glad to read about yours. We can do this, but certainly not alone...
|
|
Tuvya,.
It takes a strong man to admit to his weaknesses.. Keep reaching out for the support the men here provide. And know that by the time your child is born you will be healthier than the day he/she was conceived. You have a lot to live for, and your child deserves the best Dad you can be. You CAN do this, and you WILL do this, and you have a lot of people here who understand and will support you in your journey... |

Not being funny, I really thought he meant the erectile one at first. Not sure how that was related, now I think he meant the latter. Y'know, like remember those commercials with Bob Dole in his quick paced gravelly voice. "I finally decided to do something about my ED" [/end gravelly voice].
Sounds like a good vent Tuvya. Hey, you know what's right and wrong and you've got the discipline, and (most important) AND the self-objectivity to see reality. That's a trait not as common as it should be. You've got that going for yourself.. Congrats on the upcoming addition to your family. To health!. ... |

LMAO... Should have known the guys in this group would go directly to sex at any opportunity. No, I meant Eating Disorder. I had my first run in with bouts of fasting, binging, and purging when I was a 20lb overweight 12 year old and was under the mistreatment of a doctor. Kept my weight in check with daily purging for a good chunk of my adult life. Put on 100+ lbs when the binges started to get too large and I stopped caring about myself enough to purge (wow that sounds wrong...).
Got so bad that for a year or so everyone thought I had a cold 24x7x365, but it was "only" the constant purging and associated acid that kept my throat raw and my eyes puffy and bloodshot. Finally ended up in the hospital being treated for the eating problems for a couple months when the I hit rock bottom physically and mentally, about a decade ago. Lord... if we could only cold turkey on food... Can you imagine a crack addict being told the way to be healthy was to "only do a bit of crack 6 times a day".. Anyway, a little update... from the start I've gone off the diet Friday night to Saturday night for religious reasons... Managed to do that this week without getting stupid with my eating and I came right back on today. I think I've got it going the right way again.. |
|
Congrats Daddy Tuvya! It's good to see you back.. Good luck and much success!..
|
|
