HEY everyone!.
My March Goals:. 1. Get my BMI into the healthy range.. 2. Stay OP throughout my birthday (big toughy). 3. Not to gain while off-plan in Italy.. 4. Carry a water bottle with me everyday.. 5. Start running again.. Phew. Going to be a tough month. I am definitely going to want birthday cake and icecream but I also have big goals for the month and so I need to stay OP if I am going to achieve those. Staying OP while I am in Italy isn't possible. I will be there too long to bring food with me, but the real reason is because I am traveling with a tour company and they provide you with your meals. So this will be a big test for me. :].. |

Michelle, you were right the pound left and today is weigh day for me and w/that pound gone and another earlier in the week, that makes 2 lb loss for the week. I am thrilled about it but also a little disappointed cause I was hoping for more. I'm just going to work harder this next week. I might start tracking what I eat now just cause I want to watch and make sure i'm not going over. But this is when I get psychotic about it and obsess over every calorie and wonder if i'm counting right.. Mary, just work hard before your trip to lose what you can and then when you are there in italy...enjoy yourself. You cannot go to italy and not taste their foods....That's crazy talk. Just be sure to do it in moderation. That is where we go wrong. We love the foods and over do it.. Shapely (sorry, I haven't learned your name yet), I am a big American Idol fan. After spending such a huge period of my life wearing those sizes you would think I would remember better where I bought my clothes, but I don't. HA! The places that I can think of that I would try are Fred Meyers, Old Navy, JC Penny. I know I have found a lot of larger comfortable and stylish clothes are those stores.. So I have missed school all week except I went 1/2 a day this morning. And I am really upset because I ate an Oreo that someone had brought to Spanish class. Ugh. :/. My mom's birthday was yesterday and I want to do something with her this weekend. Any non food-related suggestions?? :/.. |

You know up until the past 5 years or so i've always managed to stay out of plus size clothes. The top half of me has always been a large sometimes xl. But i'm a pear and it's always been tough finding pants to fit right. The waist is always to huge when I get them to fit my thunder thighs. But here lately since having my kids I guess i'm just big waist down so i'm surrendering to the plus size clothes. But I still don't want to dress like some old lady or wear huge baggy clothes.
Ok. lost my concentration w/kids talking to me..... Mary, how about bowling or shopping or a nice girlie movie that the boys never like to watch (thinking how my dh or son keep me from watching alot of movies) or go to beauty salon and get a hair trim or pedicure?.. |

Hi Gals! Sorry I've been MIA for the last week or two! Last week I stayed the same...no gain, no loss. I contribute that to my knee/ankle sprain and all the swelling and water retention, but that has subsided! The orthopedist says I don't need an MRI and I should be back to playing soccer in 3 weeks! This week I had a loss of 2.5 pounds, which is great! I'm almost in the 140s!.

I was so happy to see that I can at least still fit their clothes.. I was kinda a bad girl today. I was w/my mom and had chicken and a salad. The bad part was I had alot of cheese and I had BBQ sauce on my chicken. I also stole two small fries off my moms plate (she is such a bad influence for me). So I expect to gain a pound from that. Laura, maybe you should sit down with a diary and right down why you aren't going to cheat like that next time. Like really think about the pros and cons of those BLTs. I always think of it as "I WANT to eat it... but not really because it tastes good and will bring be pleasure. Infact I'll feel guilty and horrible afterwards. I WANT it because I am addicted to food". Sara Beth, Thanks! I am SO excited! I am really upset about going offplan but at the same time I have to let Medifast change my life when my life is willing to be changed, vacation in Italy isn't that time. I can't let my obsession with food control my life, but I can't let my obsession with dieting control it either. I can't wait to try gelato but I mean TRY gelato. Portioning my food and watching my carbs are something I have to be conscious of for the rest of my life, including vacation. ALSOI can't wait for my trip because..... I GOT MY BRACES OFF TODAY!. I have had them on since 8th grade and had no idea I was going to get them off today so that was a nice surprise. Between my weight loss and braces loss I can't wait to meet guys in Italy. XD. Michelle, I couldn't agree more! What about something involving losing percentages. I have never really focused on losing weight percentages... only lbs. What are you think? Like a summer type challenge....?.
Amber, you got this! Just forget those offplan days and get right back OP! I think it helps me to set out all of my food for the day the night before. Like I'll gather some Medifast meals and put them in a ziplock bag, and then plan/prepare my L&G. It takes away that choice of "what do I want to eat not" or helps keeps me from scouring the kitchen for food. Maybe try and find something like that to help you right now.. Nurse2be, way to go!. Congrats you! My official weigh in day is mondays. Before Medifast my day was wednesdays but I changed it to mondays when I started. I never record my week-to-week loss. I guess I was always too lazy. I probably should though... |

As for me - when it rains...........as they say...........it pours, lol!. Got my crown put in to find the one tooth in front of it cracked and needs a crown now too so I'm in the dentist care again for another crown; I'm falling apart, lol!. My water heater that was put in 1988 has to be replaced so we're doing that as well as a new furnace on Tuesday!. My food shipment I thought I was getting hasn't arrived either but hey I'm going to do my best while all this is going on but won't be on here much.. I will have children here all of Spring break and getting rooms ready for them and getting things prepared for them for that week...... Good luck on your challenges etc.. I was perfectly OP this weekend even after dh tempted me w/going out to lunch to one of my favorite places (i can't understand why he does this???) I am a machine...there's nothing going to stumble me. I've never been so determined. And the biggest surprise is I weighed this morning (Wed is weigh day for me) to see how much i've lost so far and i'm down 4 lbs! woohoo!!! I have this like impossible goal before the wedding and thought after last week that I would not even come close to my goal but I just might make it w/weightloss like this.. I'm down so far in (on wed) three weeks 19 lbs. I keep waiting for my clothes to start getting baggy but not noticing to much yet. They are at least fitting comfortable instead of tight.. Have a perfect OP Monday!.. |

Michelle, a challenge would be nice. I wish we would have thought of that at the beginning of the month but then again sometimes if i'm under pressure to lose weight and I don't I usually throw in the towel which is why I never was good at the challenge board.. I am up for one if you are. I am very worried about after the wedding, will I still be as strong? will I cheat at the wedding and if I do can I get back on track or will I even want to? Uhggg....this is stressing me but for now I am focused on losing and feel really great.. Who knows maybe the challenge will help me after the wedding.. Amber, good for you getting yourself back OP. I know .8 can be disappointing...trust me I know. I had a stubborn 1 lb that wouldn't go away. But it is going down and that's always a +.. Nurse2be, you're doing great...congrats on 155! I definitely would be recording your weight to watch your accomplishments.. Shapely, like michelle said you need to make time for yourself and check in here to keep yourself accountable. I know in your situation i'd be feeling stressed and want to cheat. Just a couple weeks ago I had a tree land on my dh work truck and had to work w/insurance and the neighbor (his tree) to get the truck fixed and the tree hauled off. Then w/in the next week another huge oak tree scrape the side of the house just missing our new roof and dishing out another chunk of money to have that one cleaned up. I felt like any money that I had saved is just going to be used up on these trees that have it out for us.. Sorry, didn't mean to go off on my own issues...but I do know how when it rains it pours. Just hang in there and be strong. My two kids will have their spring break this next week I think which worries me also about how strong I can be when I'm making their lunches and snacks.. I did more of a 4-2 than a 5-1 today. I emotional ate too much l/g so I adjusted my plan (I know you're not suppose to). It's my TOM and that always makes me make bad decisons. It's harder for me to just say "no!" and be happy with my loss. I had gained a couple lbs over the past few weeks but I lost those plus 2 lbs overall, so I am at 153 right now!.. |

Mary - for serious girl, you need to rock Italy for everything it is! Sexy Italian men, delicious gelato, orgasmic food, and gorgeous sites! You most definitely want to be happy while you are there, and trust me, you will be doing a TON of walking, so you'll burn some good calories doing that. I have 2 trips coming up, and I'm going to bring some Medifast food with me, but it isn't going to be my focus. You can get right back on the wagon when you get back! You smile looks awesome, btw!. My 'skinny' pants are falling off of me today at work, and they don't even have belt loops for me to tie yarn through. So instead, I'm just hiking them up every 5 minutes, which is fine. I haven't been sticking totally to plan, but I still feel that I'm losing. My weigh in day is Friday, but I think I may sneak a peak tomorrow morning to see where I stand. 140 land can't come soon enough! I wonder if I can fit into my wedding dress......... |

I feel bad about going off for 2 weeks but the tour company provides me with food and so there really is no choice in it. But this is what real life is like, so I can't be too worried. I need to face it at some point. My food will be waiting for me when I return. (Probably going to stay off the scale for a week though!). Way to go! Time to go pick up a pair of [[skinnier]] jeans! The thing is, the 5-1 plan isn't a bible on how to do MF. It's a guideline. Find what works for you. :] I lose weight not stick 100% to plan either, the problem is that (for me at least) that is a very slippery slope. So I do my best to stick 100% OP and know that I will always have those BLTs (bites licks and tastes) but in the end I will still lose. I weigh everyday but don't take any of the days serious other than my official Monday weigh-ins. UGH. What size of jeans do you wear? How tall are you?.. |

Thanks for the lovely message on my page <3. I'm 5'7'' and at my heaviest (pushing 170) I was pretty close to a size 10. Right now, at 150ish, I'm exactly a size 6 and have one or two larger pairs of size 4 pants/shorts, but they're stretchy, so I don't really count those. I have definitely found that not staying 100% on plan makes me lose faster. I'm an athlete, so I think my body needs a little more calories than most others. I almost always add some celery with peanut butter (smart balance brand pb) between my morning and midmorning meals, and I'm not counting condiments or weighing anything. I've been vegetarian for a while, but have started eating seafood as well, which has really made me more excited about my lean and green meal! I don't recommend what I'm doing for others on MF, but it DOES work for me. So like Mary said, I think we all need to find what works for our own bodies... |

I am a little shy about being on the puter right now. I was looking on the photo success board yesterday and clicked on a link to a photo and my puter started doing weird things and this thing popped up saying I had a trojan virus. So I clicked everything off and so far my puter seems fine so I don't know if my puter has a virus or not??? If my puter had this virus, could I be on here doing this? anyone have this experience?. Anyway, I have to install a virus thing if I can find one but for now gonna try not to do much on the puter.. I am also very shy about sharing my weight because i'm mortified that someone will know it. But here it goes...for the whole world to know....258. There you go world.. It's the weekend and then I have the kids home this week and we're going to go see a movie and possibly if it warms up just a little, go to the beach. I am super stressing..
Today is my birthday, so I need to make sure to resist the cake and icecream at the birthday party my family is throwing me. I also need to call ticketmaster and get some stuff straightened out. I used my dad's creditcard to purchase tickets, but he won't be able to pick them up at willcall (they're for me and my friends tomorrow at a hockey game)... and so I'm freaking out because I don't know what to do. Then I also will struggle staying OP tomorrow when I spend all day shopping, going out to dinner, and to a hockey game with friends. Plussss I have a paper due and a calc test on monday that I realllyyy need to find the time for. I am going to try and get some of the homework done now to relieve that stress... |

I know Michelle, I am losing alot more than I had hoped....which I am so happy about. I know that I am capable of losing fast because the very first time I lost weight years ago on MF, I lost 50 in like 3 months. I just have to find my groove and then not screw up..
I have actually not been able to get all my meals in. It seems like when I skip a meal or two for a day or two during the week it helps w/my weightloss. Of course I suffer from a headache and low energy doing that. Like yesterday I was out in the yard w/the kids for a few hours and didn't eat til the afternoon. I ended up only having three meals and to make up for it a little I had a extra ounce or two of some chicken and this morning I lost another pound.. When I eat out and know that I had a little to much dressing or cheese on my salad I skip a meal. I know this isn't what Medifast recommends but thought I'd share how I am losing so fast.. I weighed 256 this morning. I'm hoping i'll make it to 249 by the wedding in two weeks... |

I can tell you that when I did Medifast my first time I lost quickly too. I lost over 75 pounds in 5 months. I had a groove too. Not what Medifast recommended but I would stay OP for 2 weeks and bring myself offplan for a day, then get right back on. Now though if I went off plan I would have to hard of a time getting back on lol...

I like the sound of this post....i have to stop beating myself up for slip ups. I'm finding weekends incredibly difficult. I can do it during the week w/o too much of a struggle....

Good Morning! I definatly have a hard time on the weekends and my last two weigh ins have proved that with only a .8 of a loss each week but today I'm soooo happy that I lost 2.8lbs! I am only .2 of a lb away from my first goal! My goal for this week is to not cheat this weekend and to hit and hopefully surpass that goal!..

Good morning ladies! and what a good morning it is.
I am down 3 lbs this week so far! I just may make my goal. I have 6 lbs I want to lose in two weeks. At this rate I will make it...just gotta be strong and resist those temptations this week. Kids are home this week and already talking me into going into town which will automatically involve eating out. But I have my little treats that are legal when they want to go somewhere. They looooove pizza hut so I take them to the little one at Target so they get their personal cheese pizza and I go over to starbucks and have a big black coffee w/just a little bit of half and half in it...yum. We are going to see Ringo this week and I don't know how strong I can be to resist popcorn at the movies though...that one is going to be hard...but I will risist. Last time I went to the movies I took a Parmesan puff with me. It was very popcorn like in the dark. I didn't miss the popcorn at all..

I know Medifast doesn't recommend some of the things we do to quicken our weightloss. But I am grateful for their plan and grateful that I can modify it to lose a little faster.
We just have to do whatever we need to do to lose. I hope you find a groove too even if it's just a groove of just staying OP successfully...I know you'll fall into one soon. I know the longer OP that I am the easier things get and the weightloss begins.. And I do know one little cheat is like starting all over for me. I snuck three of the kids fries I made last night (baked not fried) and I swear that little cheat led to more desires of different foods. I am so happy last night is over w/and I feel refreshed this morning... |

Good idea only the ones I have are over a year old and very stale (even in the closed package...weird). But i'll just eat before going and have a nice big diet soda (a treat since I don't drink them often)... |

Over 24 hours and nobody wants to say hi at least? Maybe everyone is busy like I was. My daughter and I went to get our hair cut. I loooove hers and I do like mine but I have to wash and style it myself before I can say I love it. I got a bob w/the front a bit longer than the back. I had it done once before but I let it grow out to about where my bra strap in the back is. I actually missed it being that short and felt I needed a mini make over to go w/my (unofficial til Wed.

Hair cuts can be SO refreshing.
.. I had a huge test today that I was stressing over, maybe that's why I was MIA.. I had a huge mental break down at lunch yesterday while at home and my mom called some emergency counselor to come and talk to me. I was really embarrassed about the whole situation but it definitely was needed. It also made me feel supported when all my friends and teachers were really concerned when I was gone.. Thing were all better today.. Hope everyone is doing well! :]].. |

Take care of yourself Mary. This is the time of year for seniors to start really feeling overwhelmed. Pace yourself and use calming tools to keep yourself on an even keel during these last few months. You have new and exciting changes just around the corner... You are ALMOST there!.
Are your finals coming up soon? Our seniors take their final AP and IB exams the first week of May and then the IB seniors are totally finished. I won't see them until June 2 (Graduation Day)... |

Good morning ladies!.
We are headed to the beach today. I am excited about it but also dreading it. It's spring break everywhere else so it's gonna be busy. I'm wearing long shorts and a tank top....certainly NOT doing a bathing suit.. I did alot a gardening yesterday. I planted 9 shrubs and it took me non stop working except to get a shake and water, from 10am to 6pm. I am so stiff and so sore. I did lose another pound though so that makes it worth it.. I am 254 this morning...4lb loss...woohoo!. Michelle, 5 lbs?....that is awesome! Congrats!!! You go girl!.. |

I am here lurking. I was out sick two days this week and my energy is low. I was off plan too while I was sick, but I went back to work and back on plan yesterday. This afternoon I had a massive headache and just realized that it's a good thing because it's the sign that says I am transitioning back into ketosis... Bring it on!. I also had a nice NSV today. A student exclaimed in class "Mrs. Shaw, you look sooo good!" It had just sunk in to her how much weight I have lost.. That was a nice way to end my day... |
