That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the answer to that question. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I discover an good answer. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably could answer your Nutrisystem question..

The plan so far is simple and good. Is it recommended to stick with Nutrisystem till my goal is met? It could take a year right?..

How long did it take for you to get fat? In my case, it took many years of hard chewing, poor choices and not enough physical activity. Don't be in a hurry to lose it. That will happen naturally...

I was always a stocky kid growing up but I definitely have more muscle than fat on me. I just seem to gain most of my fat in my stomach, which sucks! But your right it will happen naturally, it wont happen overnight...

I've found that I try not to think in calendar terms. As was just pointed out, it took most of us years to pile on the pounds..

Everyone is different and it's really hard to say anything specific that covers us all. That's why they have the "results not typical" sorts of disclaimers. So, yeah...it could take a year, or more even..

Heck, in my case it could take 50 years (if I can live that long)...because I've figured out that I'm going to have to fight a daily battle to eat properly and not give in to temptations of foods that will eventually kill me if I don't stop eating them..

In some ways, it's like any addiction...Sadly, I just can't lock the food cupboard like I could the liquor cabinet...so, it's going to be something I have to pay attention to for every day of the rest of my life. That may not mean eating Nutrisystem everyday...but the struggle will be there for me regardless of what I eat. Nutrisystem is sort of my "training wheels" right now...

One of my concerns going on Nutrisystem was losing LBM (lean body mass). I was always told that I carried my weight well, that I didn't look my weight, etc. I have always played collision sports, power lifted and other activities, be it sporadically. In retrospect, relying on that way of thinking kept me from embracing the fact that fat is never attractive, much less healthy. In losing the weight I have lost to date, about 25% of it has been LBM with the majority simply being body fat. Trust me, I'm FAR happier and healthier now than when I started.

I share this with you because I still remember my mom taking me shopping in the Husky section when I was a kid. Work the plan and you'll get where you want to be...
