My question is Has anyone tried the 24-48hr hollywood Nutrisystem diet drink and had positive results? Looking forward for any response. 2nd question I got is.. Well, after 8 weeks on the plan and 6 weeks of working out (combination of treadmill, bowflex, and Vaughn's video), I've hit a wall. The past 2 days, I've had to force myself to do 30 minutes when the previous weeks I looked forward to getting moving.. |

Good question... I dunno what is the answer to your question. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I bump into an answer. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably could help you..

If you frequent the boards enough, you'll see that this is actually common with most folks just about every 10% of diet fat loss..
I say take a break and than pick it back up full steam when ready. Like you said you haven't come this far to quit now!.. |

Do you do anything else while working out? Perhaps watching an action-packed movie while doing situps will get the adrenaline pumping some more. Nothing gets me wanting to destroy the fat more than seeing some dude get his head blown off going 120mph in a sports car...

Some days making the car go to the gym instead of home after work can be tough. But, after five months, it has gotten easier most days. I find myself looking forward to it most of the time and pushing other things back to make sure I go workout ahead of my other obligations..
Do you work out at home or at a gym?. Do you meet anyone? I have a friend who meets me about 50% of the time, that helps force me to be accountable and show up on those nights, even if I'm less than enthusiastic.. Curryjunky mentioned watching a movie, which is a good idea. I switch up my ipod and find something with a really driving beat (AC/DC, Daft Punk, Kraftwerk) and then I try to focus on keeping time with the music and ignoring the timers or clock watching.. I find that if I can focus away from the machine the time tends to pass faster. (At least when I'm doing cardio and rowing or running). Basically use anything you can to take your mind away from clock watching and instead focus on something external for a while to help the time pass... |

I have a music mix that I listen to. Keep switching the songs out so I don't get bored too..
Thanks for all the support guys. I know that I have to keep pushing, and I'm going to. I posted here for just that reason. Knew you wouldn't let me down!.. |

I used to be the same way; we have a gym in my office building, and I started using it every day on my lunch hour. Just didn't have the motivation to get up at 5:45am to get it done before work, or to stay after work & not get home until 7pm. Working out on my luch hour, I was able to stay on top of it & get it done..
A funny thing happened, though. After about 6-8 weeks, I really started getting addicted to it; I was looking forward to it every day.. But then, they had the brilliant idea to completely remodel the men's locker room a few weeks ago. The gym is still available, but no showers (for at least 3 months!), so my lunch workout was out the window. I tried to get up early or do it when I got home, but the motivation wasn't there. I sulked for about a month, then just said screw it, and started going right after work. Now I'm back on schedule, down a couple lbs, and feel great. Sure, I don't get home until 6:45-7:00, but I guess the moral of the story is, you gotta make the time to get it done!.. |

I think that most of us here are compulsive and just a touch impatient (I sure am). Remember the benefit of exercise comes when you stop - not while you're exercising. Change requires just increasing the challenge each time no matter what th exercise. More is not always better - there are lots of studies that show nothing could be further from the truth than "no pain no gain". In the end you have to find the lifestyle that you enjoy - then you'll keep it. I've found that walking outside is very addictive for me - as is the Perfect Push up - Bowflex is not.
There's nothing wrong with the Bowflex - it's just not for me - same with other machines.. We HAVE to listen to our bodies - they're fantastic, adaptive machines - and know much better than our minds do about what works. You've been abusing your body and it's letting you know - LISTEN. We absolutely need discipline to start an activity - if it's still requiring discipline after a significant period it needs to be changed.. Congratulations on your success and your willingness to do whatever it takes to succeed - for you right now I think less may be more... |

Found a great way to keep up the exercise routine....
My wife and I started Nutrisystem together. Every night when I get home the first thing she asks is..."Are you going to work out tonight?". Keeps me motivated!. Clark.. |
