So sorry for your losses, Kathie. Pets become part of the family, and it's so hard when it's their time to go. He had a long, good life, and was obviously well-loved. With all of his health problems, he deserves to be out of pain. My sympathies..

Awww, sounds like a rotten day. Hope you can find a good outlet for your sadness. Maybe put together a little photo album of him? Or nicely frame a photo of the doggies for your wall? They even have specialty frames where you could add a collar and/or favorite toy, etc. It would help me to put my care into something, and make sure they would be remembered..

I have three cats and I am not looking forward to the day when it is time for them to go. They are my babies. But the pain at the end is worth the joy our furbabies bring to our lives while they are here. You love your puppies and they will always live in your heart...

I'm so sorry. We had to put out pit down last year and we still think about him every day. It's never easy but the pain is eventually replaced with the memories of the joy they brought you. Just remember he is no longer suffering and as a responsible pet owner, you did right and compassionate thing by ended his suffering..

So sorry for your loss. I too have had to do that more than a few times. But animals ask for so little, yet give you so much in return. I will always have a dog or cat as my "baby" for the rest of my life. I feel your loss and pray that you'll be at peace with all of the good memories of your baby...

How you feel. My dogs are my babies and just thinking about the ones I've buried and the ones I will be burying one day is making me well up right now. You need to get yourself down to the shelter and adopt someone who needs a home. I'm not suggesting you "replace" your precious pups that you lost but sharing all your love with a little soul that has no one else will really make you feel better. We went 3 months in absolute misery after we lost our beloved Tosha before we finally admitted we needed a new pup. We adopted a special needs dog who had been abused and she was been the most wonderful addition to our home and our hearts.
