My question is How much and what can I snack for Medifast Diet 1st phase? Thanks in advance for any answer. Another question I got... Hey everyone! I am new here. My hubby actually saw a friend from high school on facebook that was on this Medifast, and she lost 100LBS!!! He showed me since I was on Medifast and then it got me looking into it. We calculated how much money we spend a month on groceries/eating out and it was 475$ So that was enough to convince hubby we can afford the $300/month! I am excited, I just ordered today, not sure how soon it will arrive, going to stay on Medifast till it gets here (Started Medifast 4 days ago luckily I only paid 17$ for the month so no wasted money). I am nervous about it though.

I had a baby 11 months ago, I want to do this for him.

I really hope this is the diet that will work. I am excited to start seeing results. I already have enough pairs of pants in my closest to last me down to a size 16 (I'm currently 22/24) so I can't wait for those 16's to be to big so I can buy new clothes!!!!.

That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the answer to your question. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I find an answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably know..

Hi doxielvr8! I am on my second day and so far it's not too bad. I am definitely very hungry and headachey, but certain this is temporary. I am also wanting to lose 140 pounds and am a 22/24. I am setting my milestones by clothing size!.

So far the food has been good, except the cappuccino. I really didn't like that one!.

I began on January 7 and my energy level is up and my food cravings are gone now..

This board is very supportive and very helpful. Read, read, read. I spent much time in the recipe thread and it has proved to be time well spent. Also, I am checking in with a group daily, and the veterans of the program have been very helpful. Drink water! It's really important!..

Thank you everyone! I decided to talk to my step-mom about the program, I was afraid to mention it and get the omg that diet is not safe. Come to find out the diet she did was almost the same exact thing as MF! Just different foods but same concept! She was very supportive. I like how everyone has mini goals, I think I will need to set some for myself.

When you say recipes is that for the lean and green meals? I wonder if it would help to take a dose of Ibuprofen each day during the first week to help prevent the headaches? Also, I was curious has anyone before they started went out and bought an outfit with that as a goal to fit into/motiviation?..

First of all welcome to all you newbies. I have just a few tips to share, never cook the eggs in the microwave always cook on the stove top in a skillet. Also some say not to eat oatmeal for your first meals. For the soups make sure and let them soak.....I also add more water and a bullion cube. For the chili I make 7 packets at a time and add a little lean ground beef or bison and some spices then simmer on the stove, divide into 7 tupperware containers and throw in the freezer for quick grab and go meal. I find the shakes to be more satisfying if they are blended with ice. Hope some of these things help you on your journey to a healthier, skinnier you : )..
