My 1st question is: How to make Soft and Chewy Medifast cookies? Looking forward for any comment. My other question... Iv seen alot of people on other raw sites mentioning raw wine..

Is it just juice made to look like wine, or is it actually wine wine?.

Doesnt alcohol consumption go agaisnt being raw?..

I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the answer to that question. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I bump into an answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably know..

I have actually made wine from the muscadine grapes that grow on the vine in our yard (i;m so lucky), and the only thing that we added other than the grapes was brewer's yeast and sugar. then we put it in this 5 gallon jug with the special little plastic thing that goes on top to ferment it. it fermented for about 8 months (if I remember correctly) and then we attempted to put it into bottles. we still have like over 4 gallons left cause we don't drink wine and it was our neighbor who gave us the stuff to do it and helped us make it. we're never going to use it and we just need to dump it or something. but anyways sugar, which helps the grapes ferment, is definitely not raw. well I hope this helps...

Im 100% raw for 7 months. I've always heard red wine is raw. I drink red wine and don't feel negative affects so I feel that it's ok. only red, not white...

Damn, for some reason I had in my head that white was better than red, so I've been drinking white and rose...

I find this wine at Trader Joe's and Caputo's (if you have those). It's pretty good!.

The website is a flash based abomination with embedded music though. Sorry..

Wine sort of has to be raw....you cook it and the alcohol goes away. I love my wine : )..

Lore-ah thanks so much.

I shall order some!!.

Just ANOTHER question hehe, wont there be sugar in all wine like someone pointed out?.

I was also wondering about homemade cider? and elderflower wine, someone was going to show me last year how to make it with no chemicals etc..

And I went to watch scrumpy being made once the old fashioned way and no heating process was used...

My understanding is that ALL wine contains naturally occurring sulphites. Raw organic wine just doesn't have any ADDED sulphites..

Easy enough to find out ~ Google is my friend:.

I have gotten organic red wine with no sulfites added at the local liquor store, and supposedly it is raw..

I could tell a huge difference between the way that makes me feel and just regular red wine with sulfites added..

Neither of them make me feel good afterwards, but the organic wine is waaaay different from the non-organic wine. I think for someone who has no history with alcoholism, the organic wine with no sulfites added is fine when you really want something like that for a special dinner..

Heck, who cares what I think other than me!? Take the information, and do what you think is best. We have options at least...

I occasionally have a glass of organic wine with no added sulfites. If I drink anything else I can feel it later on (with a headache)...

If it helps, Alissa's restaurant will be serving organic wine and sake... and this is a 100% raw, vegan restaurant. So... I suppose wine IS raw (and sake too)!..
