Congrats Sue! We must have been working out at the same time. I just finished Day 1 of the Lean program Core Synergistics. It was pretty good. I was preparing myself for the worst, but it was actually pretty enjoyable - and went by pretty quickly!.

As far as Skydiving, I started jumping when I was 25. I always do tandem jumps because I want to be able to jump from the highest altitude and freefall for the longest amount of time. Plus I want to enjoy the ride, and not have to worry about counting/pulling etc. I absolutely love it. I've jumped only about 6 times. I had gone a few times with friends before I started dating my husband.

So skydiving was our first date. I later found out that he was terrified, and only did it so that I would go out with him. I didn't know this until after a few months of dating, I gave him a Tandem Jump gift certificate. He finally confessed that he was terrified to do a second jump, and only did it to get a date with me. (poor guy).

I haven't jumped for a few years now with the boys being little, but now they're older and think it's pretty cool, and want to come with me to jump some time. (me jumping - not them!). I have gone body-flying in Las Vegas a few times. If anyone out there wants to try skydiving, but doesn't like the idea of actually jumping out of a plane, body-flying is the way to go. You can completely experience free-fall - in a safe controlled environment! Here's a link -.

They have locations all over the US..

Back to P90X! I am so excited to start this program! It's been quite some time since I've really pushed myself with exercise (I always felt too heavy) so I'm really looking forward to this journey and the results!.

Let's plan to check in and post our workouts, likes, dislikes, encouragement daily, and keep each other on track!.

Here's to us looking firm and fit for Spring!..

Hey Lisa...that is too funny!! I met my DH too when I was in the middle of jumping. He went with me twice...and I found out later he was/is deathly afraid of heights. He wouldn't say anything at first...but he did it! We just had our 25th anniversary last week. He loves to tell the story about what he did for love!..

Just completed day 2 of the Lean program - Cardio X. Love it, but I am still pretty sore from yesterday. Only 88 more days to go!.

I have a trip planned to Las Vegas with my mother and 2 sisters toward the end of February. I'm already trying to figure out how I can stick with my workouts while I'm there. Might have to call and see if they have DVD players in the rooms and bring some bands with me. I don't want to stop my momentum! (I think I could become addicted to this!)..

Hey ladies!.

I just finished day 1 of the lean program...core synergistics. At least I finished what I could do! I think I got through about 40-45 minutes of the 57 minute workout. I actually did better than I thought I would. I didn't want to overdo it on the first day since I haven't done any "real" workouts in a while. It feels good to get back into it! and I have to say that if it wasn't for joining this group I would have blown it off today. I had planned to do the workout earlier in the day, but that didn't happen.

I had been looking through the P90X booklets during the game and was thinking I would just start tomorrow. Then I saw your posts and the message on my page (thanks, Lisa) and I decided I just needed to go for it! I am planning on doing some running (working on a couch to 5K program) as well, so I know I won't do the P90X everyday. I am thinking I'll do the C25K program (3 days/week) and the P90X for 3 days/week and have a day of rest..

Thanks for getting me started! you gals gave me the push I needed!..

Congrats on Day 1 Kerry! I'm impressed with your desire for C25K. Personally, I am NOT a runner! Even when I was in great shape (before kids) I was never a runner. It's just not a comfortable movement for me. I'm pretty sure that I'd have to be chased by a big scary monster to run any longer than 5 mins. Of course that would have to be an ACTUAL big scary monster... not just a guy in a costume...

But, I'll be curious after P90X how much longer I'll be able to tolerate running. I would think that endurance would increase, and I might just be able to tolerate it! (?).

Congrats on pushing yourself for Day 1. Keep checking in with us, even if it's a running day for you! (or I'll come looking for you on your My Page!).

Day 3 of P90X for me, Chest, Back, and Abs... Planning to do it after lunch sometime....

Enjoy your workouts today ladies.....

Also.. I'm planning not to weigh in for at least 10 days or so. I don't want to be discouraged if I see a jump from starting a weights/toning program. So, my sig will remain the same for a while! (but hopefully my a** won't!)..

Hi Guys!! I just finished day 3, Arms-shoulders. As a former bodybuilder, I have to say I totally loved this disc! I went up to the bonus round before quitting. then added 45 min of steady cardio. I agree w/ Kerry...I love being in the group...I'm very inspired! I did the same thing yesterday, got caught up watching football and didn't start my workout until after 3! I was tempted to blow it off, I haven't had a rest day in a few weeks. But I was glad to do it. And today's workout was a total blast.

Lisayep...my scale is up 1.5 pounds (I'm a daily weigher) since starting, but my pants are falling off (even worse!). My body fat% is dropping fast, which means I'm holding water (water % up = fat% down). I'm drinking lots, but it's not coming out. So... you're smart to avoid the scale if you don't want to see it!.

Now...tomorrow is Yoga! I have never done yoga in my life...I'm looking forward to it!.

P.s. I'm going to check out the lean program!..

Hi Ladies - Just finished Day 3 of Lean Program - Shoulders, Back & Ab Ripper. LOVE IT! These DVD's are far better than any class I've ever taken at a gym! I thought I would have to drag myself to the basement each day to complete my workout - but I actually look forward to it! So far (knock on wood) I don't think I will have any trouble sticking with the 90 day commitment!.

Sue - former body builder...I'm impressed. I've always wondered when they say that muscles have memory.. just how far back does their memory go??.

In my 20's and before kids I taught step/kickboxing 5 days/week. I hope my muscles have REALLY good memory, because I wouldn't mind going back to those days as far as tone-ness goes (is that a word?).

Have a great rest of weekend ladies! Rest, recover, and hit that PLAY button tomorrow!.

BTW - tomorrow is Yoga for me also. I've heard it's the toughest DVD of all of them. So much for soft music and gentle stretching!..

Hello ladies!.

I just finished my first day of the C25K. It went pretty well though I can feel it in my knee a little bit. Lisa, I am not a runners AT ALL! I really have to force myself to do it, but this program really starts slowly. I am feeling a bit sore from yesterday's P90X workout. Not too bad, but I can feel it in my butt and obliques..

Rach, welcome! To Medifast and to the P90X group. Day 8 already! That's great! Stick with the program (MF) and you'll drop those pounds!.

I was trying to decide about the weighing thing. I am a daily weigher normally. I was thinking about trying to stay off of it for a few days, but we'll see what the morning brings. I just might not be able to help myself! LOL!.

Way to go on the workouts so far! Keep up the good work!..

Welcome to the group David - and contrats on reaching your goal! We're always glad to have more X'ers, and it will be nice to have a guys perspective!.

Kerry - as far as 4 & 2, I have read that is what Nutrition Support suggests. I'm still basically doing the 5 & 1, but added extra protein here and there. I split my L&G in half, so the thought of making even extra L&G's is a pain in the butt! If I could eat Medifast food all day and never eat real food again, I'd be happy! I've become so spoiled by the convenience of it!.

I would assume that we should raise our calories a little, so we'll see. I plan to monitor the next 2 weeks and see how my losses go, and adjust from there. I figure we've got 90 days to figure it out! I ordered a bunch of extra 70 shakes which contain more protein, so I make sure to have one of those after my workout, and I eat 1 maintenance bar per day (extra cal, extra protein)...

Welcome, David! It's great to have a guy on here. Let's us know how it is getting back in the swing of things..

Lisa, thanks for the input. I think I might try just adding a little extra protein on the days I do P90X and see how it goes. I'll give it a little time and adjust as necessary..

BTW...I gave in to the temptation to get on the scale today. I was not disappointed! Down .2 from yesterday, and that's with weighing in more than 3 hours earlier than I do on weekends. I'm still going to work on not getting on it every day though! :-).

Have a great day everyone. I'll be on day 2 of the lean program today...CardioX, I think. I'll do that when I get home...

Hi Everyone! Day 4 of X here! Yoga....can't wait to see what I'm in for!!!.

Kerry....I have been STARVING the last 3 days with the increased activity. I'm doing 5/1+3 (3 50-cal snacks). I'd been doing 5/1+2 for the last three months (I'd been walking 3-4 miles every day). But now I add a couple pistachios to the mix every day, especially before the workout..

My scale dropped a pound today, I'm still 1/2 pound above my ticker. My official WI day is thur...so I expect to be lower by then, I've never had to raise my ticker, ever!.

I'm thinking of trying 6/1+2, or 4/2 ...but I'm going to wait at least another week and see what happens to the scale. But I've definitely been much more hungry and my stomach is growling at 5:30 am as soon as I open my eyes. Lisa...I so agree with you!!! I'd much rather do 6/1 than 4/2!!!.

Hi Lisa....yeah, I hope muscle memory works for me too! I think it is!!!.

So...I thought I'd be super sore today, but not at all. I've found in the past that vitamin E every day kept the soreness away. I'm also taking a lot of CLA now, which I had great results with in the past (congugated linoleic acid...an EFA)that might be helping too. But, I crave muscle soreness. It's like heroin to me...love it!.

Hi Rach! Hi David!!..

Okay, finished Yoga today. Hmm. Gotta say that I was pretty bored after 45 mins. I've always liked Yoga, I'm pretty flexible, so it wasn't horrible in that way, but after 45 mins, I was ready to be done. This DVD did not go by nearly as fast as the others have. I have to confess that I quit after 45 mins., and let myself have an 'out' since it's the first week.

But 98 mins. is LONG and my selective ADD starts kicking in!.

Hope you all had a great workout... on to tomorrow!..

Plus I sprained my knee falling on the ice this morning and was po'd about that. So....generally bad attitude. But...I do know people who swear downward dog keeps their back problems at bay.

I am totally tight and definitely need to work more on flexibility and stretching. So...I'll keep at it and see how much I can improve in 90 days!.

I have to agree w/ Yoga helping back issues. I can either go to a chiropractor 3 times a week, or do Yoga. I prefer Yoga. It puts everything back where it belongs! If you are new to Yoga, get yourself some Yoga blocks. He talks about them in the video. They will give you an extra 6 inches or so, that way if you cannot reach the floor during a pose, they will help support you.

They all have them. You can even use a shoebox, but Yoga blocks are certainly more stable! Next week I will force myself to do the whole tape... who knows, maybe right after I turned it off - it turned into a dance party... !! ?? Okay, probably not. Maybe Brad Pitt, Taylor Launter or Bob Harper (biggest loser) made an on-screen shirtless appearance...

Maybe... Maybe.. Maybe I just need to suck it up and look forward to the non-Yoga days!.

Signing off for the night... gotta get 2 little guys ready for bed....

The rest of it went pretty well. I definitely toned things down a little. I can't go as fast as they do, but I'm happy with how I did. And I got through the whole workout! I don't think they call it 'Ripper' because it makes your abs look 'ripped'. I'm pretty sure they call it that because it causes internal bleeding! Holy Hell!.

Did you know that you use your ab muscles to put your seat belt on in the car? No? Well, do the DVD, and you'll know EVERY second and every motion of the day that involves your abs! :O.

Finished Legs, Back and Abs today. I got through the whole workout, and it went by pretty quick. I'm pretty sure I am not going to be able to move tomorrow. I'm getting ready to go do my X in a little bit. We have a snow day here so I'll get to my workout early today, which is nice. I'll get a few chores done first, then I'll get to the workout..

I'm still wavering on the 4/2 myself. I have tried to take in a little more protein and calories but haven't really changed from 5/1 yet. I haves gone up a bit on the scale since starting the workouts last Sat. I think I'll give it at least a week before making the decision. I haven't really done more than 45 minutes working out yet, so I'm not sure I should switch to the 4/2. I sure don't want to go into starvation mode and stall my weight loss.

Well, off to the chores then the X..

Good morning ladies.. I just finished my Kenpo X today. Great kick-boxing workout! Went by super quick - I think it might be my favorite so far. Tomorrow is... REST (or Stretch!) I think I'll do the Stretch DVD because I know I will need it, and it sure will feel good!.

Off to volunteer at my son's Kindergarten class this afternoon. He was a sport for being patient and playing on his own in the basement while I worked out down there with him. Half the time he looked at me like, "What are you doing???" Very cute!.

I was looking over the Nutrition Guide that comes with P90X. Based on the calculations they have you do, I should be consuming 1800 calories per day. Not sure how I feel about that, but they do clearly state that if you don't take in enough calories, you will not lose weight. Right now I'm doing about 1200.. which seems like a TON compared to pre-P90X. In the Fat Shredder stage (Page 2 of the Nutrition Guide) they recommend 50% Protein, 30% Carbs, and 20% Fat.

(powder mixed w/ water as a protein recovery drink). Planning to monitor weight loss over the next 2 weeks or so, and up my calories if I need to. Still seems odd to go over 1000 calories!! I've been Medi-brainwashed!.

Yes - I LOVE our small group. Nice manageable number to keep track of, and keep up with everyone's workouts and goals!.

Thanks for joining - and GO PRESS PLAY!..

I know that my core strength is something that is lacking...one of my goals is to strengthen my core. P90Xis definitely going to do that for me..

Lisa-that made me laugh! I can just picture the looks your boy must have been giving you! And I know what you mean about the calorie intake. I felt bad yesterday when I looked at my calorie intake and it was so high...compared to the strict 5/1 on MF. Like you said, I will evaluate as I go along and see what changes I might need to make. There are not too many places here where we can have an open discussion about MF, super-fitness, and calories. I'm glad we're talking about this. I know on my favorite show, Biggest Loser, the fastest way to failure for them is not eating enough. Tomorrow closes out week 13 for me on MF. I'm going to start very strict logging tomorrow so I see exactly where I am. I think I'm at 1050 per day, but want to be sure before I consider tweaks...

Yes - this is definitely a group where we do not have to feel self-conscious or walk the fine line on OP or Non-OP discussions. As far as my OP life.. I've been 100% OP since I started Medifast in June, I've lost 50 pounds, now I am incorporating Medifast food into my P90X plan. Why not transition and go off Medifast completely? Because I actually LIKE Medifast food, I am a lazy meal preparer (is that a word?) and it is still a healthy part of my fitness plan. Eventually, I would like to make time for more raw foods, less artificial sweetener etc., but that will come in time. So, yes, some of us may choose to add extra calories..

Have a great night my fellow X'ers! Get your rest, and hit that PLAY button tomorrow!..

I agree! I've looked at a few threads where people just get ripped a new one for being off plan or asking question. I'm glad this thread is not like that. That being said, I have tried very hard to stay OP. I slipped off plan twice...over Thanksgiving and again over Christmas. Holidays are hard! But I've gotten back on both times and am working hard to reach my goals. I have noticed that since starting the workouts, even though the scale has gone up a tad bit, I sure like the way my clothes are fitting better ( and I'm feeling better too)!..

Hi Lisa and Kerry,.

Lisa...I'm with youI really love all the Medifast foods that I eat! I think they'll be in my diet for a long long time. I mean really, my boston cream pie (made w/ an Medifast oatmeal cake and Medifast pudding, topped w/ WF choco syrup, and a tiny squirt of FF whipped cream) is about as close to heaven as I can get on this earth..

I very carefully logged food today, I hit 902 cals and 95 g carbs. My L&G was a little light...a pack of shirataki noodles w/ Muir Glenn spag. sauce and a bit of p-cheese..

I was on-the-go all day and missed my workout today. I haven't had a rest day in a long timeso no biggie..

But, that's definitely not enough cals for the workouts, so will begin doing just a little tweaking tomorrow and careful logging of everything..

P.s. I DVR'd Biggest Loser too...I love to watch it while walking on the treadmillhaven't seen it yet, will tomorrow..

Lisa, Kerry, congrats to both of you on your losses!..

Hey X'ers! I just finished Kenpo + 45 min of steady cardio. I almost had my own "Biggest Loser" throw-up moment. But I loved it..

Speaking of TBL...have you watched it Lisa? I'm in the middle, but what really caught my attention is the number of cals they are burning. 4000, 5000, 7000, 8000...and the day wasn't over yet. Yikes!!.

I closed out the week with a 1.8 pound loss, 35 total. Better than I expected. 7 pounds away from a "normal" BMI...

Great job on the Kenpo Sue! I know exactly what you mean about the throw-up moment. I had that on Tuesday with Legs & Back.. and the Biggest Loser Barfers is exactly what I was reminded of! I've never felt that way during a workout before.. and now... I get it! I completely understand where they are coming from!.

I watched this week's BL last night. As far as them burning 5000+ calories - that seems high, but I can believe it. Based on my weight, I burn around 2300 cals per day (I have a GoWearFit similar to the Body Bugg they wear on BL so I know exactly what I burn each day). You have to figure that these are 300-400 pound people. The more you weigh - the more calories you burn. They say that they work out 6 hours per day..

Did you hear the 500 pound guy say that he was eating 5000 calories per day?! Wow!.

Congrats on your 1.8 pound loss! I'm down 3 pounds, but I haven't moved my ticker yet.. When I started P90x I was 142. Higher than my ticker.. TOM, and taking anti-biotics which messed w/ water retention I think. So now I'm back to 139. I'm not considering that a 3 pound loss with meds/TOM in the way.

Today was day 7 for me.. Rest or Stretch.. I was planning to Stretch, but I decided to take the rest part literally and take a nap! Wow! I needed that! Now boys are almost home from school and I have go run... (not literally!).

See you all here tomorrow! Day 1 of Week 2 for me!..

Do you all mind a late starter?? I have been seriously looking into p90x and I am very interested. However, I have a question for you all...do you HAVE to have the pullup bar? I don't have a narrow doorway that I could use. So really that is my buy it or not point. If I could use something else for those workouts that would be fabulous and I will be ordering it. Otherwise, I will be looking for a different workout plan. What do you think?? Thanks...

Lisa...I've always wanted to get one of those body bugg thingies! I'm a data girl...I love numbers, measurements, for sure. I think I'd really like having one!.

Hey Mandy...jump right in!!! You can use the resistance band for pullups. I can't remember if it comes with a door attachment thingy, but you'd have to find a way to anchor it on something so you can pull pretty hard on it. What's cool about the program is you can totally modify the workouts to match your fitness level, then grow into it...

Welcome Mandy! I can't do a pull-up for the life of me, so I throw a red resistance band over the I-beams in my basement and use those for pull- ups..

Sue- I'm a data/techie chick too. I love my GoWear Fit. You can check out their website at bodymedia.com. They have an iPhone app, so I can update my food logs on the go, and blue tooth sync from my armband to the app. on my phone. Love it! You can find them new on eBay for less.

So I set my trip meter to 0, do p90x and see how many calories I burn per workout, then it still tells you the total for the entire day. It's pretty cool! Keeps me motivated. I even know how many calories I burn while I sleep!..

Between 250-300. With Kenpo, I burned 5.6 cals. per minute. The strength training ones.. about 3 cals. per min.

But I still continue to burn extra cals. after the workout during recovery. It's pretty cool to see the data. Plus it's tells you steps per day, etc. I usually do 10,000 steps per day.

10,000 is pretty easy to do!..

I'm going to check into the gowearfit or body bugg thing. It sounds pretty cool! I would love to know what I'm burning throughout the day and especially during P90X. Lisa-do you wear yours all the time? Does it go around your arm?.

Boy was I wiped out today! I was so tired all day long, and I really planning on blowing off my workout today. Not only was I tired, but I had a dentist appt. today and figured my mouth was going to be all numb when I got home (which it was) and I wouldn't feel up to running. Well, I got home and actually felt better than I did all day, so I went ahead and did my run! And I feel really good for having done it. So, that's one week down...3 days of X, and 3 days of C25K. Tomorrow will be a rest day..

And Mandy...welcome! Join in at any time. I actually bought the P90X a year and a half ago after seeing the results my cousin got using it. It kicked my butt back then because I was 20 pounds heavier. It still kicks my butt, but in a good way now. And as Sue said, everything can be modified to whatever level you're at. Join in and good luck.

Enjoy your Friday everyone!..

Good morning Xers! Great job Kerry on getting yesterday's workout in! Yes - the armband goes around your upper left arm, and I do wear it all day long. It's pretty comfortable, so I hardly know it's there - and with our lovely Chicago winters.. with long sleeves no one even sees it. Even with most short sleeve t-shirts it's not seen. Although now that my shirts have gone from a size 1X to Small or Med., we'll see. Either way..

Today is Day 8 for me.. Core Synergistics. Looking forward to that one.. it kinda incorporates all of the workouts in one, and goes by pretty quick! Being the control freak that I am (have you noticed that yet?) I updated the calandar on my phone with all of my workouts for the next 90 days.. So on any given day I know what week, day, and workout I'm on. Ahhhhh..

And I was tired of having to keep referring to the book!.

I'm planning (and hoping) not to miss any of the '90 days' workouts. Did you all take your 'before' pictures??? I made myself take them. I never got around (or was willing to) take before pictures with Medifast and now I wish I had. So, I made myself take them before starting P90x. I went down to the basement and grabbed a bin of old smaller-version of me clothes. Do you know the good thing about a 20-year old hot pink string bikini from Victoria Secret? They are very adjustable! Gotta love those adjustable strings! Well...

But maybe in 90 days I just might when I look like the 'after' chick in the book!.

Too bad I didn't take my before Medifast picture in that string bikini.... YIKES!..

Hi Girls! (and Dave...where'd he go off to?).

Well...I decided yesterday that on the really hard days (Kenpo, Plyo, Legs) I'd try to bump up cals a tad, closer to 1100. So yesterday I added 1/2 of a frozen banana to a Medifast shake 1 hour before the workout. That sucker kept me full for hours, and did indeed power the workout. But after dinner, I was so stuffed I just couldn't eat my 5th MF...so I still ended the day with 1008 cals. But the scale dropped for me this morning. Since today is stretch day on X, I'm going to do a 4 mile run/walk.

Oh...I might try to practice a couple of those yoga poses...I'm so bad at them...could use the work! So...just normal 5/1 today w/ 2 snacks. BTW...my snacks are the same every dayI make 25 meringue cookies every single day using 4 egg whites and veg fiber, sweetener, and extract. The recipe is on "mypage", and I also have a pack of Medifast crackers with a bit of 2% cheese melted on them. Between that and 5/1 I always feel quite satisfied..

Kerry...I'm impressed that you got the workout in! I find myself totally wiped out after being at the dentist. Mentally and physically. I'm like you, I bought the program about 18 months ago, tried it for 2 days, and quickly bagged it. Now I love it!!.

Lisa...good for you for braving the pics! I didn't take any. I do have Medifast before pics from 35 pounds ago though. And I log my measurements every two weeks. I'm doing the regular program, it looks like I don't do the Core disc until week 4, if I'm reading things right..

Hi Mandy!.

Everyone have a great workout today!!!.

Oh, btw...did anyone else notice on Kenpo the "X" move that they do? Kind of like a jumping jack? They look WEIGHTLESS when they do that!! My goal I think is not an unassisted pullup, but an X-move that looks like those guys!..

I count them as a snack. 4 egg whites is the main thing..aprox 68 cals, 0 fat, 0 carb. I use veg fiber as the binder, net 0 carbs, then splenda granular and erythritol (trueVia) (a highly tolerable sugar alcohol)...neither of which I count. So it comes out to about 2 cals per cookie. I consider it fat free, sugar free, carb free. I'm sure if someone wanted to tear apart the sweeteners they'd come up w/ a couple carbs.

The fact that I found a way to make meringue w/o sugar is something I'm super proud of! I have Lime flavored ones in the oven right now...

And help me progress I think, too.

But I'll do what I can and just keep on working on doing it better!.

Sue-I know what you mean about some of those moves. That "Dreya roll" ? Crazy! The roll itself isn't to bad, but I just can't get up! LOL. And throw in that X move or the spin...totally nuts! But I'll get there!.

I do need to pound the water, I can tell I'm a bit dehydrated. I woke up in the middle of the night last night with a very growling tummy (hungry!)..

Mommyyyyyy! I just finished plyo. I think I only made about 15 min the first time I did this. This time I made it to 15 min left and had to move to my total gym and continue plyometrics there (which was surprisingly effective...I could go much deeper). I could only do that for another 7 or 8 min. So...I still ended early. I was covered in sweat and my legs are complete rubber.

I'm sure glad I had a tiny bit of extra cals before that workout....and I think Medifast beef stew is the perfect recovery meal! The carbs from those little teeny potatoes are going to work right away..

I did manage to sneak away after half-time and get in a quick 45 min. nap! I was feeling pretty tired this afternoon, and I didn't want to give myself an excuse to miss my workout!.

Tomorrow is Yoga for me. I made it through 45 mins the first time, my goal is to make it through the whole thing this time. It was just so BORING last time! Going to start with a better attitude tomorrow. And probably my iPod playing better music than what Tony uses! Need something to keep me going! Hubby and kids are off school tomorrow, so we'll see if I can get through the whole thing w/ out my kids coming downstairs saying, "Are you done yet???".

I have tomorrow off and I think it's the perfect opportunity to get back into the program.

I think I may actually go with the classic P90X rather than the lean since Medifast is really helping take off the pounds and I want to make sure my skin tightens and tones as I lose...

The scale dropped for me this morning (yesterday was extra cals to fuel plyo)...but I'm still .8 above my ticker. Trying to get through tons of laundry first.. been putting off house stuff since starting this workout, and my laundry pile almost ate my youngest son! So, making myself get through that first, then Yoga. Actually, I'm gladly doing laundry and putting off Yoga for a bit longer! Never thought i'd prefer laundry over anything else.. but.. I found it!.

I'll check in after a few hours, and hopefully I'll get through all 98 mins!.

Welcome Bee! Kelsey - we'd love to have you join us, even if your boyfriend isn't going to do the program now.. you've got us to cheer you on!.

Sue - congrats on ordering your Bugg. I have had mine for a couple years now, and I do have the watch display. (where I gave up last time) they go into balance postures.. which goes by way more quickly than the constant downward dog stuff! The last 45 mins. is balance poses, which I actually like a lot, then the last 10 or so is ab work. The 2nd half of the DVD is WAY better than the first, so it's worth sticking it out.

I think I'm going with the Classic- so today is chest, back, and abs..

I have a gowearit (I think it's called a bodymedia fit)- I got it Christmas of 09 and it's AWESOME. It really helped me see how much I was burning- and also showed me how much I was sleeping- big issue for me cuz I have sleep apnea..

It's funny though cuz when I first got the body bugg I was burning easily 2300-2500 calories a day- now I'm burning a lot less cuz I weigh a lot less- on the one hand it's great cuz I weigh less but on the other hand it's TOTALLY frustrating. I have the display also but honestly it's not that great unless you want your stats a lot more in the beginning. I also find now that with it I was hitting my 10,000 steps a day when before I was barely hitting 5,000. I loved it for that as well.

I think it's a lot cheaper than the body bugg and only cost $7 a month vs I think $13 with the BB. I definitely recommend it if you don't want to pay more for the BB. I think it has less features than the GWF or BMF unless they added new features. When I was checking them out the BB didn't montior your sleep..

I'm off to do my first workout..

Lisa...I'm so glad you ventured into that territory for us! (the full 98 min!!). That's my day tomorrow...so I'm glad I know to stick it out. I have a bad ligament in my right hand from falling at xmas...the hand-on-the-floor work (push ups, yoga) has really irritated that ligament, so I'm going to need to use a barbell on the lowest rung of my smith machine for any floor work, so my wrist stays vertical..

It looks to me like they changed the name of the GWF to BMF. Thanks for the enouragement from everyone on how useful it is! As much as I really love to workout, I tend to be a slug the rest of the time. So this will inspire me to be on my feet more. I'm really anxious to see what my calorie burn is...

Good morning ladies.. just finished Legs, Back, & Abs. Week 2, day 12 for me - 78 to go! My hubby found a great iPhone app for P90X. It's called Fitness Tracker 90. You can choose your routine (lean, classic, etc) and enter what your start day was, and each day it will keep a calendar for you and you can also enter how many reps, weights done for each set, day, routine. LOVE IT! So much easier than writing on that small worksheet from the website.

Did anyone else know that after the Legs, & Back DVD ends, Ab Ripper comes on automatically? I was previously ejecting the DVD and loading the Ab Ripper DVD, but apparently it's already there, just let it keep playing and it's on! Duh! Had no idea! I assume it's also on the other DVD's which the routing calls for abs afterward also!.

Heading to the shower - then quick errands to do before the boys get home!.

Good Luck with Yoga today Sue hang in there.. the last 45 go much quicker! Let us know how it went!.

Kerry - enjoy your run day.. should help workout that sore butt!.

All done with my run. Wasn't loving it today. I got through it, but I was pretty wiped beforehand so that made it a bit of a chore today. But I feel better for having done it!.

Lisa, thanks for that info about the iPhone app! I had been looking for one but hadn't seen that one. I downloaded it already! Now I can go back and enter my info from my previous P90X workouts..

Sue, let us know when your bodybugg gets to you...and what you think of it..

Bee-how are you feeling today after yesterday's workout? Stick with it! It feels so good when you get through these workouts!.

Anyone else out there-good luck with your workouts!..

Hey Sue...how was Yoga yesterday? Today is my volunteer in Kindergarten day, so I need to get my Kenpo in this morning while my little guy is home. Hopefully he'll be patient again like last week. I've tried to do the 'workout after the kids go to bed thing' but I'm just not a night person. My body starts shutting down after 7pm!.

Did anyone see BL last night? Rediculous! That's all I'm going to say in case you haven't seen it yet!.

Have a great workout today!..

Hi Guyz, I finished week 8 before life and company got in the way.I had stopped to start Medifast and have dabbled in it a little since then.I actually am doing TURBO JAM which I love. Its not as intense as P90x but it's fun and it's includes strength training and cardio. Oh and I HATE YogaX, LOL just sayin......So i'm not totally in the P90X mode but I love reading what you have to say. I will Bring it soon but for now I'm concentrating on getting in my exercise without putting myself in a stall.Good luck your all doing great. Mia..

Thanks, Mia! and come back and join us whenever you feel you're ready..

Lisa - I'm on Kenpo today as well. If I remember correctly, I kind of like this one. Still a butt kicker, but fun. We'll see later today if I remembered that right or not! LOL. Hope you get to your workout early. I know what you mean about the body shutting down after 7pm! I'm usually in bed by about 8:30pm!..

Hi ladies.. Okay, got my Kenpo done. I was SO not in the mood this morning to workout - but I dragged my butt to the basement - complained mentally for the first 15 mins, then worked my butt off and got through it. I do like that DVD, goes by pretty quick, and my little guy was a champ hanging out w/ me playing while I worked out. Also burned 335 calories, so on to tomorrow.. Rest or Stretch.

Tomorrow I'm getting a massage. I have a gift card for a place near my house...so I decided to use it tomorrow while the boys are at school.. Planning to come home and do the stretch DVD after that, since I still haven't seen that one..

Mia - feel free to stop by and visit us anytime... Since I am also close to my goal, I'm not too concerned about stalling with weight loss. I figure it's not even February yet - I've got a few more months before 'summer clothes' season. I'd rather start working and toning now. If my weight doesn't change for a while - I know darn well my a** will! It's all good!.

Sue - how are you doing?? Check in!..

Hi Everyone!! Hi Mia...it's cool you popped in!!.

Ok...I got through about an hour of yoga yesterday, 20 min of cardio, and ab ripper. I did SO much better w/ the yoga this time around. Still modifying to protect wrist and back (I'm doing the planks and d-dogs with my forearms on a exercise ball)..

Here's the thing though...I've got some weird bleeding...from where a person not ought to bleed. Ugh. I think plyo was a bit too hard on my 48-yo, yo-yo diet abused bod. So I'm taking a rest day today to keep BP in my lower body down. I really don't think it's anything serious...just gotta stop jumping around for a bitkeep one foot on the ground. I'll be back at it tomorrow w/ legs I think, then kenpo..

Lisa and Kerry....yep...by 7:00pm I'm pretty tired and in bed by 8:15! I have a tempurpedic mattress, and every time I get to "horizontal" it's just the best feeling in the world!! I taped BL but didn't watch yet...can't wait to see it now! I'm curious who the new trainers are..

P.s. new low on the weight this morning!..

Great job on the Yoga Sue! Maybe you should switch to the Lean version of X? No plyo at all, and still great workouts! Best to rest and put your health first! How funny that we are all morning people! Hubby and I usually wake up at 5am (6 on weekends) and are in bed by 8:30! I have a tempurpedic also, love it! Also use a body pillow since I am a side sleeper... I'm in my own little cocoon (sp?). My husband calls it a 'marital divider'! Whatever buddy....it's cozy!!!!.

Off to volunteer at school... Have a great day Xers!.

Congrats on the new LOW Sue!!!!!..

I'm doing much better! Everything is calming down and it's SUPER hard to not workout today. I realized this morning that I feel weightless going up stairs now. I feel super light and fit. I feel amazing. I'll check out the lean program...that's probably a really good idea. Thanks!.

S..

P.s. just watched TBL...ridiculous is right!!..

Sue- glad that Lean will work for you! I started my program on a Friday, so tomorrow is my rest day. Looking forward to the stretch DVD! Also planning to make your 'cookies' this weekend- need to get the ingredients first!.

Also agree with you on feeling weightless! For the first time in ages I am looking forward to summer clothes! Last year I didn't dare wear shorts, and now I can't wait! No more FAT hiding baggy clothes for me!..

Thanks Lisa,That is actually my mindset right now...to firm up and get my muscle mass back to fill in the loose skin somewhat. Do you guys like the Classic or the Lean program? I've only done the Classic but maybe the Lean is what I should be doing,I know I would miss the strength training part tho, maybe I could just add 1 more day of the strength with the cardio part. Keep it up girls and boy(s)..Mia..

I definitely think the lean program is the way to go. When I was on the program (long time ago and many pounds heavier) the plyo just about killed me! All that weight...trying to make it jump! And then taking that pounding on my joints. I think that was one fo the reasons I stopped doing it before. I like that the lean program does strength and card and core without as much of the jumping..

Today was Kenpo for me. And I made it all the way through! It felt so good! I can't quite speed things up the way they do toasted the end of some of the sets, but I was getting through almost every set. Made me feel proud of myself!.

I went ahead and did my measurements today...and I've lost 10" since starting on Medifast in November. Tried on an old pair of shorts yesterday too (size 12)...not quite ready for a public appearance, but darn close!.

Keep up the good work, ladies! Tomorrow I'll be running!..

Okay, so I bought these Yoga blocks yesterday at Walmart. They are made by 'Danskin Now'. I opened the package, and a slip of paper right between the Yoga blocks says, "Warning: This product contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm." SERIOUSLY? SERIOUSLY?????? Why the hell would I want these in my house then?? Granted.. I don't plan to EAT them, but let's see... I'm doing Yoga to get healthy.. mind/body blah blah blah, but HEY..

Just to mix things up a bit! You should have seen my face when I opened them in the kitchen. I felt like I should look around for a 'You're on Hidden Camera' guy. And of course they put the warning on the inside of the package where you can't see it until you purchase them and open them up. Because if they put it on the outside where you could see it - NO ONE would buy it!!! More laughable is right next to that slip of paper was a note from their customer service saying.. Do not return this product to the store..

With questions first..

Oh Hell Yeah I'm calling customer service! Can you imagine how many people they must employ to handle those calls?? Am I wrong here?!?!!? Unbelieveable!.

Okay, good thing today is 'Rest or Stretch' day for me, cuz now I'm all worked up! Can't wait to call their Cust. Service... I'll keep you posted on their reply - I'm sure it's gonna be a good one!..

Hi you guys!!.

Kerry...that is GREAT news!!! Congrats on the kenpo too! It does feel amazing to do a whole disc...I know how you feel!.

Lisawow...that is amazing. When I read your first sentence my thought was to go buy some as well, then I kept reading. Unbelievable. My husband wants me to figure out a way to sell the cookies...he keeps bugging me to take them off the internet so no one steals the idea! I made cranberry-orange ones yesterday that were yummy..

Mia...when will you start? Lean looks like a great program, I'm glad to be switching..

Hey...today is my official wi day, I lost 2 this week, which is HUGE for me, and hit a new decade. I thought I'd NEVER see the 180's. I'm only 4 pounds away from a "normal" BMI. I think when I get there I'll have to invent a reason to see my doc so it gets on my insurance record. I'm convinced that sometime in the future BMI will be a component of our fee schedule for insurance..

So...doing great this morning, legs/abs is on the schedule. I hope my bugg shows up today!..

I have to severely modify...but will start w/ you today!.

Hey...I did about 10 solo static-line jumps in my 20's. I was getting ready for my first free fall when I got married and figured it was out of my system. Tell me about your jumping career!..
