First off, Medifast Diet, being on phase 1 for too long? Many thanks for any comment. Another quick question... Who loses steadily and by steadily I mean who loses 2-3 pounds a week pretty much every week during their weight loss and who among us loses in chunks?. |

I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the answer to your question. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I got an good answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably could answer your Medifast question..

I seem to lose weight in chunks, and it kinda drove me nuts for awhile. I will have smaller losses and then BAM, the weight starts to drop off fast over a period of a few days. I will be stuck at the same weight for 10 days, then drop like mad over 3 or 4 days in a row. On those fast weight loss days, I also feel really hungry and kinda shaky..
When I looked at the big picture instead of the individual weeks (calculating my weekly average), I felt better about it and now I've just come to accept that this is how my body chooses to give up the weight. It doesn't matter how perfect I work the plan from week to week. I've been 100% OP the whole time. I've tried mixing up my L&G, calorie/carb cycling, more/less exercise. I just decided to stop trying to figure it out. The weight is coming off and that's all that matters to me... |

While I can't know the answer to this yet, thanks for posting it. It will help those of us starting out to know that this is a possible explanation if the scale doesn't seem to move!.
During my short time so far, I seem to lose one day, hold the next, lose, then hold... we'll see how that continues!!!.. |

For the first 50 lbs of my weight loss, I lost pretty steady. Since it has gone in chunks, but as long as I am losing, it is all good...

LOL Gencaf - That's exactly how I have lost on MF, In chunks then stalls for a week on TWO. I hate it when those fat cells start talking to each other. Maybe we can make them write 100 times - I will not talk or listen to the other fat cells when I'm suppose to be shrinking in class...

Thanks for posting this. It's interesting how weight loss works. I think I'm going to have to keep in touch with those who experience this, because I'm new-ish and the scale is confusing me. I'm glad to read staying with the basic Medifast plan your weight keeps coming off. Not feeling confident right now. 1/2 pound seems to be gone from this crazy scale week, my fourth on mf, all OP all the time.

I'm pretty steady. At first it was about 3 lbs a week. For the last 20 lbs it has been about 2 lbs a week...

Yep, I'm one who loses in fits and starts. I'll lose 3 lbs in 2 days, then hold steady for 4. I write down my weight every morning in my little notebook, and there was a time 2 weeks ago where I wrote "***?" beside 3 gains in a row... and then I lost all those and 1 more lb in 2 days..
