Melissa. , congrats on the pants! I've been wearing this one sweater over and over lately because I loved it so much and it had been in the 'I look too lumpy' pile for ages, but it fits again! People are going to think I don't have any other tops.. The vet couldn't find anything obviously wrong with bad kitty, so we sent out for some tests that I'll hear about today. DSO and I have already wrangled him and stuffed probiotics and antibiotics down his complaining little throat. I assume he'll live to be at least 50 and this illness will only make him stronger and more energetic... |

I sure hope today is a better day at work. If only I really could force feed that miserable wench some frozen broccoli, it would make my day so much brighter. DD's academic testing at school ends today, her play is tomorrow night and DH comes home just in time. I cannot WAIT for Saturday...I've felt like I've been holding my breath all week from the stress! Saturday morning, we're off to the Nantahala River (in the Smokey Mountains National Park) to play and watch DH kayak with his brother. Kids will splash in the river and I will sit back and dangle my feet. Happy days!.. |

OK, Wee Beastie is dressed, fed, homework checked and gone... I'm not exactly sure what's up, but this morning, he requested to wear a tie to school. Umm. OK. So I got him all set in his shirt and tie, and he said "Wait Mumma!" and he went and had to check out his cool tie wearing self in the mirror. LOL I had to drag him back into his bedroom to get some pants on him! (That's my boy! LOL). Then he totally strut, I'm talking **** of the walk strut his tiny heiney out to the bus, (I could see the driver laughing from her seat!) She got him all buckled in, he said "Fanks" (Thanks) and kissed her hand!!!!!..

Penny, he has had a "girlfriend" for the last two years at school(Not sure she knows she's his girlfriend LOL)! He has a real shine for a little girl named Gabriella. (Gabby). Have you ever read the "Eloise" books for little girls? Honestly, she reminds me (looks wise) of Eloise... In dresses with an Alice band and hair a bit frumpled. An an observation/note to self and other TL-er's...MF Cinnamon Roll Crunch bar tastes EXACTLY like the Medifast Oatmeal Raisin Crunch Bars...sans the little bits of random eviscerated raisin bits. Still good with AM coffee... But the same!..

Keri. I realized that I would have left these "too tight to wear right now" pants in the drawer until they were too big to wear! I have quite a few more that I think I may be able to wear - so I'm going to keep trying everything on every weekend so I don't "miss" wearing them. At some point I do run out... I don't really have 14s for work and I have nothing smaller than 14 in the house. I'll have to play it as it happens as I have no idea what "size" (I know it's so random!) Good morning! I've been up since 4:50... yawn..
DH has been out of work for a year and a half. (He's an industrial electrician.) Since the economy tanked, there's not too much heavy duty construction going on here in CA. He went back to work this morning!. We'll see if it's a short term job or a long term job soon. I was happy as a clam to get up and make his coffee and lunch for him. He's been making mine while he's been off. He was quite the Mr. Mom. So, my list of household duties just doubled, but I'm SOOOOO glad he's back to work. Anyway, I'm going to try my hand at posting some pics in my post. Thanks, Penny, for the help! Okay, so I'm posting a picture of my new haircut, my new haircut when I straighten my hair, my garden, and the first roses from my yard. (Yippee, it's spring!). Post more later! This requires backstory..
I trapped a pregnant cat that some guys were threatening to shoot and she had 3 babies shortly thereafter. I found a home for her and 2 of the kittens pretty quickly, but the third stuck around until he was 5 months old with very few people interested in him. He was a dumb kitten- ran into walls while the other ones played together, could even get lost in an empty room. I never named him, but called him Kitten. He finally found a home- I met a woman who lived about 2 hours away and she took him, even giving me an adoption fee. Two days later, she arrived at my house, near midnight, to return him. Humping her cat until she puked. She told me to keep him and the money and good luck.. I never named him, so he is Kitten to this day. Now it is funny because he's so big it is like calling a football-player sized guy Tiny... |

I think it's funny how different we all are on our weightloss road...just reading how some of you have tops that are XL that you can't wait to get rid of and I have been rejoicing this past week for finally being able to fit in an XL! LOL! It's been so long since i've been thin that I don't even know what my size should be.. I think the shake heated up would be just fine. Let us know how it turns out.. De, in regards to your post from yesterday's thread...yes! It was Liquid-gels, not the liquid. I can't do the liquid Nyquil. I would've been on the floor in a coma.. Also, Medifast is pretty good for when you're sick. THere's the chicken noodle soup and the hot drinks. This morning I had oatmeal and I think soup for lunch. I'm just exhausted but feel I need to drag my butt to work this afternoon since I was out three days last week on vacay.. Horrifying food porn dreams last night. Must have been the medication!. PS: Deidra - LOVE the hair! Very chic. And so jealous that wherever you live you can already garden. Just want to bury my feet in that rich soil!.. |

Thanks for starting us off today Cindy!. Today is official WI and I was still exactly 219.9. I will definitely take it. Down over 3lbs for the week. SWEET!. Penny. The animal print bracelet is pretty. All your stuff is gorgeous. I dont think Id wear animal print but on the right person cool!. Deidre. Yesterday you posted your frustration over having so far to go. I know that feeling very well. I started with 150lbs to lose. Im down to only 80 lbs to go now. But Ive learned over the years that you have to have the right mindset for a long journey. When Im stuck in traffic, instead of feeling a bit of road rage now, I just channel that inside the car, crank up the radio and enjoy some jams. With this weight loss journey, Im doing the same thing, consciously enjoying the moment, relishing each NSV, breaking it down into segments. Check it out, in four or five pounds Ill have lost 75 and have 75 to go. By then Ill have lost 25% of my weight. And one more pound after that I will have lost more than I still have to lose. So take it easy, you have nothing but time. My DH always says that every pound lost is really two pounds the one you lost AND the one you didnt gain. Hang in there! Love your hair both ways, and your pic with and without glasses. Lots of different looks!. Freya. My agency funds our state smoking cessation quitline and the services are all telephone and web-based. Weve been working with the quitline service provider and Communication Service for the Deaf for some time now, trying to get video to video coaching available for deaf and hard of hearing individuals who want to quit smoking. Weve come so close several times, but it is harder than hard to find someone who is deaf/or hearing, proficient in ASL AND truly understands deaf culture, and who wants to work in a video to video environment on smoking cessation. The company we use wants the person to work in their location but theyd have to hire an interpreter for the person to work in their environment and that is hugely expensive. Im hopeful theyll be able to just contract the service to CSD. De. On the liquid sweetner/condiment thing, I have to say I stay confused about this most of the time. I do my best, but if Im off program thats probably where it is. Do I listen to NS, or De? DE! Of course! LOL But really, it's all very confusing. Carolyn. - feels SO good, doesn't it?. I swear (I do that a lot) there is an AIR CONDITIONER RIGHT OVER MY HEAD BLOWING FREEZING COLD AIR ON ME. I am purple. Ok, maybe I'm blue, but I can't wait to get out of here and get warm again. The sun is shining out there and I'm getting antsy to get out of here for lunch. Hello girls! Not even going to try to do chopped tofu... I'm way too far behind!.
Transition has been good... weight has been bouncing around within one pound of itself. I have an ultrasound on Tuesday to make sure the little bugger is doing good (and that there is only ONE little bugger in there, as despite the fact that my weight is totally stable, I look about 3-4 months pregnant already. I mean, I know you show sooner the more kids you've had, but this is ridiculous! You're also at higher risk for twins 1)the more kids you've had 2) the older you are and 3) if you're tall (NOT) or overweight (YUP!)... so, we'll see.. We may be moving about two blocks away to another house our landlord owns... it's got more bedrooms and bathrooms, so I hope it works out!. And my boys both made the honor roll at school. Very proud. (Oldest has senioritis so she didn't... the little girls don't have an honor roll to make but had good third quarter grades).. And Steven hasn't had a cig in almost two weeks. It's been hard on him, but he's pulling through... this is always a tough week for him. It was the 4 year anniversary yesterday of his brother's death. He had a massive heart attack at age 38 caused by his habit of drinking Red Bull. That stuff will give you wings, all right... It's HORRIBLE for you. They've done studies that show that college students who drink one Red Bull (or similar energy drink) have their cardiac profile shift to one that is similar to a man in his 60s!.. |

For baby's health sake I transitioned once I found out... I'm on week 3 of transition (skipped the week of not adding food as that seemed a little counterproductive for my purposes. I needed to add food back in!). And little bugger has a name... either William John or Margaret Anne (Will or Maggie)... |

DH came home at 12:30 this morning (he had been helping care for his dad for about 18 hours), his siblings were taking the night duty. Hospice came & helped with what medication needs were at this time, which was excellent timing.. My car is still in the shop (gulp at imagining what the bill is going to be). Possible headgasket leak, but source of fluid loss is uncertain, so I get to drive a vehicle that may or may not get me to my destination. Also carrying a gallon of water...geez but I hate driving a car with an unsolved problem! Car shopping is not an option right now (too many other demands on time), but will probably be doing that soon.. Grands are feverish, stomach ill (did not want to make anybody ill by describing. ) so their dad stayed home from work to sit on them, instead of me being exposed to the germs and then passing germs onto DH who is needed to care for his dad.. Youse guys probably never noticed that I am rotten at sentence structure, punctuation usage and such? I do apologize if I drive anyone nutz.. Loved the hair, loved the garden, loved the curvy walkway next to the garden spots and the roses are beautiful!. Anna, hope you find a house to rent soon.. Penny, do you need help with the broccoli & rusty fork on *Red Jabba* today, might help me work out some of the pressure that is boiling up inside of me........ Freya, I always thought the same thing about Lightman and his daughter. She supposedly has "it," too and if the show lasts, she'll undoubtedly be working with The Lightman Group..

I don't trust a word that comes out of NS' mouths any more. However, their word on the Mio is this. 1/2 tsp counts as a condiment. I have also seen them post that if you don't use that much, don't worry about it..
Clear as mud. The second is my philosophy. I almost never use the recommended 1/2 tsp, it's just too strong for that. So, I'm not going to worry about it!. I do believe that this falls under the "liquid artificial sweetener" rant of yesterday...... Penny - Can I borrow your rusty fork?.. |

I just remembered (actually, my boss had to remind me) that today is my friday because I am taking Friday and Monday off. Zoink!!! I lose my PTO if I don't use it and always forget to use it, so my lovely boss occasionally says "I don't want to see your *** in the office for a few days". Gotta love her..
