Give us some details, such as how long ago you lost that awesome 130, how long did you keep it off, how much have you regained?. There are no secrets in the men's room, when we slip up we have to own up to it. Plus, I'm sure there's a lesson in there somewhere that those at or near goal can use to prevent sliding into old habits... |

Hey..thanks guys! I sure apprecaite the support and the welcome! I got my box in today and I went through my pantry and started pitching the junk stuff. I need to go grocery shopping tomorrow for salad stuff, but other than that, I'm pretty much ready to go..
As far as how long ago it was...i had to look it up. I hit my goal weight of 165 on Feb 28, 2005, just over 4 years. ago. I started at 310! (YIKES). I still have up my 'story' on a blog of sorts. This was before the day of actual blogs and the members pages on Nutrisystem didn't allow much. Http://members.cox.net/bderouen. .. I'd say my biggest mistake was getting complacent. I guess you can say I got overconfident. I started eating just "a little" wrong and it didn't affect me. So I started jsut a little more and a little more. I hit about 190 or so and I went on WW, which helped me get back to close to whee I was and I started kicking it with the excercizing! the final blow this time was stress on a new job and the fact I own my own company...so it's a lot of stress involved. Boy, I learned a lot about myself in that I'm a stress eater.. I tried LAWL, and it's a very good program, but it's just not that easy. If you have the time to cook and you have a semi-normal life, it's great. But Nutrissytem is for me, the program for crazy scheduled people! I loved it last time and I'm excited about diong it again!. I'm currently at 245 and this time, my goal is 150. I knew when I got to 165, I needed to go just a LITTLE more, but I stopped. no stopping this time.. See ya'll around the board!. Bruce.. |
