First off, What's better for a teen, Nutrisystem or Weight Watchers? Thanks for any answer or 2. My other question... So, I'm on my second month of NS, and have lost almost 15 lbs and my clothes are getting really loose and I feel like I'm wearing MC Hammer Pants. So when did you guys start buying new clothes? I'm definitely buying new pants this weekend... |

That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the right answer. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I discover an decent answer. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably could give you help..

I bought new pants and a belt every 4 inches....I am still wearing my XXL shirts but when they get a hole, they go in the trash and I replace them with Large (not even XL now). Woo Hoo..

Thanks guys for your reply..
Badlionsfan - I am single at the moment, so no girlfriend to tell me I look like a bum - but I will try on the next pants size down (34 /32)...here I come.. Johnth - That's a great idea, buying new pants and a belth every 4 inches... |

Unfortunately... or is it good fortune... I have an "assortment" of sizes in my closet from days gone by. In fact many of the clothes that I'm again fitting into are now back in vogue. Timeless classic fashions. LOL..

And DON'T buy by too many. Hopefully this is only a transition to the next smaller size. I made that mistake more than once and now I have three different sets of transition stuff...

I completely agree with daoneth's suggestion. Don't buy too much..
I found that if I purchased smaller belts instead of pants, I could go a few more lbs between purchases because I was only buying shirts and belts. I actually had to resort to putting a few holes in bigger belts once or twice because I was in denial about shopping.. My wife loves to shop, and tells me it's a good problem to have.. So I agree with the suggestion you buy just what you need. (for now).. |

I agree too psudsp1...I'll buy a new belt and only one pair of pants for the time being. Thanks Guys!..

Agreed!.
I went to the Salvation Army and thrift stores as I lost weight and clothes became too big. When I was ready for new sizes, I donated them back and let someone else can get some use out of them too... |

I have been trying to use the "every 4 sizes"..
When I started I was wearing size 44" pants, purchase a couple of pairs of 40", then 36".. Last weekend I purchased one pair of 34" jeans, which I believe is smaller then I wore all through high school 30 years ago. .. I try to keep the pants the right size but haven't been replacing the shirts as fast. Most shirts were XXL and I am still wearing them. If I do purchase new shirts, I am now buying L (Yeah).. All of the "bigger" clothes have been given to Goodwill, since I never will go back to that size. Clark.. |
