My question is Who took the Medifast cookies from the cookie jar? Many thanks for any response. My 2nd question... OK. |

Hmm... I need to find out myself. I don't know what is the answer to your question. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I find an useful answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably can answer it..

Thank you, "Dalime.".
You know, I don't yet have a juicer, but I'm going to follow your suggestion and do just green smoothies for awhile. I love them ,they make me feel so good, and I'm mentally worn out, I think, from the transitioning ups and downs...I really appreciate your post!. Tomorrow is another day and another opportunity to learn about raw... |

DRY BRUSHING.
HOT/COLD SHOWERS. REBOUNDING. GREEN SMOOTHIES, WITH DASH OF CAYENNE, THE GREEN will promote alkaline balance, which will be a GREEN light for the body to have enough nuetralizers to remove the stored toxins and fatty acids' within the fat cells, if nothing to nuetralize it will be stored and you wont lose as quick,. ENOUGH WATER. PROMOTE GOOD CIRCULATION...LYMPH MOVEMENT. Should stop any problems! 2 weeks old, give it time... But view all angles..... |

Inflammation is your bodies response to stress/overuse/possibly releasing toxins? I don't know, I'm not a doctor but I periodically go through the same thing and I've been raw since 8/05....Try things that "flush out" fluid....lemon water, dandelion/uva ursi (herb) tea, and my favorite-pineapple blended with fresh parsley (like a pudding) in the fp......think I need it today as a matter of factfeeling "puffy" myself"....Hey I live in NY and it's freeeeeeeeeeeeezing.....wonder if the cold has anything to do with it? Good luck!..

Thanks everyone!.
I'm going to continue with lots of green smoothies and more fruit. I was eating a fair amount of nuts, dehydrated crackers and dried fruits and I think that wasn't working for me. So, I'm shifting to mostly fruits and greens. I'm also going to leave out the nightshades, along with nuts, wheat, sugar, caffeine, and soy, b/c this eczema thing is making life difficult and I want it to heal.. I hit a major bottom these past few days and I'm ready to get this show on the road... |

Hi RawSweetie! Yes, the dehydrated goods and nuts will cause bloatedness. I was doing wonderfully on non-dehydrated foods, low nut consumption, and drinking lots of water, then in the past two weeks, have hit a wall and am retaining a few pounds of water..
Make sure you are getting some good fats, i.e. avocados, olives, and coconut oil in lieu of the nuts/seeds... |
Amberstorm, thanks for the reminder about OLIVES...I was thinking and thinking today about how I wanted to get fats, aside from avo and coconut. I love olives. Mmmm.....
Rawsweetie, watch your sodium too. It's very easy to consume a lot without realizing it when following particular menus. Many are loaded with soy sauce and other salts. It will bloat the body quite a bit..
Best,.. |
Well, I wondered that about the olivesright after I posted. I don't want to blow up from salt while trying to meet fat needs..
Thanks for the reminder! It does seem that nowfor meit's a time to be very mindful of what I'm eating..... |

I have noticed that my body does much better when I use salt that has been incorporated into a plants structure such as celery and seaweeds rather then salt dried from the sea or mined from the ground. When the plant takes the nutrients in and makes it a part of the plant structure my body seems to rejoice at receiving it..
Oh, that's very interesting...hmmm..thanks, EZrider. I have been sprinkling sea salt on things if the Medifast recipe calls for it. It'll be interesting to live w/o it for a while...
Ah, good point EZRider. I, too, enjoy seaweeds. Foods supply more than enough sodium. I was surprised to learn how high spinach is in it. That's plenty. and it doesn't cause high blood pressure, achy bones and joints, or leaching from the body like excess, additional sodium does; and not to mention the bloating and swollen face in the morning.
Best,.. |
I'm glad to hear that spinach is high in natural salt as I eat it frequently..
